Wie Google CEO Eric Schmidt jetzt offiziell auf der Web 2.0 Expo bestätigte, wird Google neben den Word (Docs) und Excel (Spreadsheets) Klonen nun auch einen PowerPoint-Klon für Präsentationen bringen. Diese drei Dienst sollen dann mit anderen Google-Diensten wie Gmail, Google Calendar und GTalk kombiniert werden können.
Eric Schmidt sagte, dies sei allerdings keine Bedrohung für Microsoft.
Auch im offiziellen Google Blog bestätigte man nun die Veröffentlichung des Produktes:
Well, we tried to keep it a secret as long as we could, but to be honest, we’ve been dying to tell you about the bun we’ve got in the oven. We’ll soon be welcoming a new addition to the Google Docs & Spreadsheets family: presentations.
